Welcome Home
Sometimes it really is all about the little things, in this case, the addition of a porte-cochere. The meeting of four gables offers a grand welcome to visitors and family to the camp.
The lines of the timber frame are reminiscent of thatched structures from across the pond. This intersecting roof plan provided the opportunity for the detailed joinery to be topped with a layered system, all in Douglas fir. Inviting, welcoming, and highly crafted. It’s hard not to smile about this one. You’ll find another view of it on the cover of this calendar.
“As always, the New Energy Works team’s vision, together with their highly skilled level of craftsmanship, helped create a space that is both relaxing and inviting...exactly what the homeowner wanted.”
