High Performance Carpenter—OR
McMinnville, Oregon

We have an open position for a motivated carpenter/framer to work along with our busy timber frame shop here in McMinnville, Oregon. We are looking for an experienced, quality-oriented, and hardworking craftsman with house framing and general carpentry experience and an interest in building the best, high-performance high-craft homes possible. Our work spans from footings, to prefabricating walls in our shop, to occasional final finish with an emphasis on the energy performance of the home.

This position works on site during our enclosure projects and with the timber frame shop to fill in between as necessary, so shop experience is also important and valued. While we are looking for a demonstrated level of skill and experience in a framing setting, the addition of an understanding of high-performance building envelopes, site and shop tools, CNC and/or CAD experience will all be valued but not required.

This job requires the ability to perform tasks in all areas and aspects of timber and general framing. The aptitude to work with tools, timbers, are essential along with the ability to lift and manipulate timbers of up to 50 lbs. and more. Some driving is to be expected and can result in longer commutes to occasional "local" projects, therefore a valid driver's license is required, and you can expect your time to be roughly split between a site and our shop. Occasional air travel is also required as we work not only locally and regionally but nationally as well.
