Racusin will also discuss the critical relationship between operational and embodied carbon, emphasizing combined strategies to optimize total carbon emissions without falling into common “payback” traps.
Jacob Deva Racusin, Co-Founder & Director of Building Science and Sustainability at New Frameworks will be speaking on bio-based materials and their impact on embodied carbon metrics to policy to collective impact to building science to the power of the residential sector.
Racusin will further delve into the role of bio-based materials in embodied carbon reduction, including carbon storage accounting and opportunity for panelized off-site construction to scale high performance bio-based building technologies.
