Nestled high above Cayuga’s waters sits a collaboration of design, details, and dreams. The homeowners desired a nature-centric house with big timbers and open space to accommodate large family gatherings, as well as intimate evenings around the fireplace. “Hidden Hickory,” is based on the homeowner’s passion for biophilic geometry and is comprised of an abundance of windows for niche views of the lake, surrounding acreage, and their beloved horse pasture.
“We will sit in the great room at night with the accent lights on and a glass of wine and just look at the timbers and admire the craftsmanship and the beauty of it. It’s almost like looking at art to a degree.”
