A Story Pole from our remodel project, High Point. Story poles are a measuring tool used to transfer a building's vertical dimensions, like window heights, floor levels, and stair risers, to lumber or other materials. There are two main uses: as a layout tool for accurate, repeated measurements on site and as a planning tool to visualize a building's mass, height, and bulk. In this case, GC team, lead by site supervisor Scott Powers, made it to help Architect Ty Allen create a window wall. Project partners: ARK Design Studio, Meaghan Larabee Designs.
