The 2025 Lightning North American Championship attracted 50 teams for the 4-race series on September 25-27 in Wrightsville Beach, NC. Consistency was hard to come by, but John Newell’s team of Owen MacDonald and Sarah Costich bled the least to win by 12 points over Jody Starck in second with Felipe Roples four points back in third. -- Scuttlebutt Sailing News
