In architecture a "folly" is a building that celebrates exploration of building concept or architectural self-expression rather than a functional, client-driven purpose. Last build season we were able to bring our CTL (cross-laminated timber) and glulam fabrication and installation to this folly by Hudson Valley Architect, Barry Price. A space for the client to observe and be with nature, it was a conceptual exploration of wood building materials and site-situ for Price as well. You can read about The Perch here.
