This West Coast home was designed to be an eagle's nest over the Pacific Ocean - a motif that had great significance to the clientele. They wanted a house that captured the views of the sea and took their design cues from a family connection to actual eagles that captured their attention on this site. They wanted their upper deck to take in all the unobstructed views that the site had to offer. The centrally oriented timber frame with structural purlins and a nestlike chandelier affords them an open plan with great sight lines from the large fireplace to the vaulted kitchen.
