Lighthouse Home

When George and Priscilla called us about building a family home, they explained that their property on Cayuga Lake had been in the family for generations, so the cottage that was to grace its shaded acres had to be more than just a little bit special. They wished to celebrate their family's nautical past by including a lighthouse as part of the design. We put our heads together and created a 4-story timber frame lighthouse with canted walls and a circular watch on top. The entire timber frame structure of this home is reclaimed heart pine, an old growth wood some say our country was built with.
