Over 100 volunteers–monks, seminaries, carpenters, timber framers, and community members helped raise the frame for the Mount Angel Abbey's Benedictine Brewery in Mt. Angel, Oregon. We've put together a blog post and a video of the day that you are welcome to enjoy.
Said Chris, the Project Manager for the monastery, "This raising is a ton of right in a wrong way world. Yeah, it fits right in with the mission of the brewery (support the Abbey, support local charities, support local economics), but it's a lot more than that. We can shout out all the buzz words – sustainable, diversity, green, eco, community, but I think this is far beyond all that. It feels like making a change for good and right one community step at a time." It really did feel that special on raising day...many thanks to the many hands that joined.
