We've started raising and enclosing a project in Odell Lake, OR in conjunction with Arbor South Architecture. The home is a hybrid, though mostly timber frame. The interior frame is RF kiln dried Douglas Fir, and the exterior is fresh sawn Western red cedar. The snow load in this area is 300 lb/sq ft. We’ve added matrix walls and SIP roof for the enclosure, 1x tongue and groove on the interior and 2x on the exterior. The outriggers in the SIPs are exposed, so we used Western red cedar to match the exterior frame. We also are doing the additional framing to support the SIPs and walls where there isn’t timberframe.
