February 2016, Bolton Landing Historical Museum, Bolton Landing, NY

 

Over 9,000 board feet of timber will be raised and modeled to look like the inside of a wood boat for the Bolton Landing Historical Museum in Bolton Landing, NY. The design includes structural purlins between bents in addition to curved glulams. The posts, rafters, purlins, and collar tie materials will be Fresh Sawn Douglas Fir and all posts and undersides of horizontal members will be embellished with chamfered edges.
