Our team will be right around the corner from our Farmington NY headquarters, raising the frame for the new Lyons National Bank (LNB)–Farmington branch. The site in which LNB will be opening their 16th branch is also home to the Hathaway house–a historic landmark dating back to the 1790's. We're working with Mossien Architects, Massa Construction, and LNB to bring additional reclaimed timbers into the original house which will be used as a Community Room, available to local organizations as a meeting space. The "new" timbers will be Agriculatural Reclaimed As-Found with natural patina, in keeping with the original bones of the house.
The bank itself uses a barn inspired design, paying homage to the local vernacular. The main timber frame 'barn' structure and attached timber pavilion drive-thru will be crafted of Douglas fir. We will also be installing our high-performance Matrix Wall(TM) system and over 7,000 sq. ft. of Pioneer Millworks reclaimed weathered wood ceiling T&G over a Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) roof.
