The design for this hybrid timber frame home accommodates the homeowner's desire for open space to display hand-made furniture and to enjoy large groups of friends and family. Nestled at the foot of a prominent ridge-line, the home captures valley views and is a quiet escape for the homeowners. In the fall, it will come alive with guests for their football weekend get-togethers, serving as home base for those traveling to the big game. The core Douglas fir timber frame will be joined by exterior timber king post gable elements and entry porch.
We're always excited when clients are excited and this homeowner, quite a woodworker in his own right, joined our team in the shop to work some of this frame. He's also crafted a few doors and furniture pieces for the new family home. There were plenty of smiles on raising day!
