Dan and Laurie spent a few years looking for just the right site along Canandaigua Lake for what is to become their multi-generational family retreat. The Finger Lakes Region is centrally located for much of the immediate and extended family who gather together frequently for fun, special occasions, and holidays. The design plans were influenced by the stringent site constraints associated with being near the water (height restrictions, erosion/sediment concerns, setbacks, etc) and the nature of the narrow, deeply sloping land - but the views, the mature trees, the general location all made this the perfect site for Dan and Laurie. An open floor plan includes vaulted volumes and lower volumes 'separating' the great room, kitchen, and dining spaces. The home includes core public gathering spaces and more intimate private areas away from the core. A separate garage will be connected to the home via tiered landscaping.
